Rep. Lee Terry (R-Neb.) is one of the Tea Party, party boys responsible for the government shutdown during which 800,000 federal workers are being furloughed, and thus not paid. As a result a number of lawmakers have said they will donate their salaries to charity during the shutdown. When Terry was asked by the Omaha World-Herald Bureau if he would keep his paycheck, he answered, “DANG STRAIGHT!” He went on to say, “I‘ve got a nice house and a kid in college, and I’ll tell you we cannot handle it. Giving our paycheck away when you still worked and earned it? That’s just not going to fly.”
Don’t worry Terry, I’m sure all the other federal workers can handle it. Terry’s salary is $174,000…
